Welcome to the K9PA Pet Gun Dog Class
At K9 Playtime Academy, we’re all about innovation, so we’re really excited to share with you our Pet Gun Dog Training Course!
Learning the skills to be an effective Gun Dog are valuable skills for any pet dog to learn, and this course focuses on developing your dog’s life skills within a class theme.
During the course we will cover how to train:
A sharp recall
An emergency stop
To be calm in a distracting environment
To walk nicely on and off lead
To retrieve an item to hand every time and only when asked to
“Indy would get very overexcited in many scenarios but especially if he would see another dog and was not able to go up and greet it, this would manifest itself in barking and lunging towards other dog, he will now walk calmly and quietly past other dogs, even when he can’t greet them. I thought instruction was excellent, a nice relaxed atmosphere!”

All breeds are welcome to take part in this fun course and they can be used as a follow on course from our Foundation Award or IMDT sessions.
If upon completing the course you get bitten by the gun dog training bug there will be an opportunity to continue your training session with us through continuation classes and progress onto further courses.
Sessions are £15 payable in advance in a block of 6 sessions and are held in our outdoor training venue in Brize Norton.
We’re only accepting 6 dogs for this course due to the activities involved. Be sure to BOOK your space today to make sure you don’t miss out.
